Managing Change

Description

This one day programme will explore the concept of change and the stages of the change process. Unsuccessful changes in the past will be reviewed to see how change could have been handled better. We will look at the myths around change and the need for change, why people react in the way they do and find out how change can be planned for and how to keep essential business going during change.

Reference will be made to ‘Who Moved My Cheese’ by Ken Blanchard.

Who is this recommended for?

This workshop is designed for those who need to understand how change in an organisation affects them and others and strategies for coping with a changing world, whilst keeping essential business going.

What will you learn?

A clearer understanding of why change is essential and our own personality preference in dealing with change. How we develop strategies to deal with the stress surrounding the change process and keep essential business going during these times.

  • Identify Change and How to survive it
  • List the myths around change
  • Recognise the need for change
  • Identify resistance and reactions to change
  • Plan to make change happen smoothly

(Delivery of this programme is focused at 2 different target groups – (Group A) to employees involved in the change process or (Group B) strategic managers/directors involved in implementing change) content is adapted accordingly.
