Description
The Introduction to Leadership and Management course is highly practical and will build confidence and skills essential for first time managers with some experience. Combining a range of skills, this course will provide you with the key principles of managerial excellence. The course has been designed to allow for e-learning modules and ‘distance learning’ between the workshops to embed learning.
Who is this recommended for?
Those new to management or managers with no formal training; team leaders or supervisors seeking an introduction to management.
What will you learn?
- An understanding of the key principles of management and styles/qualities, inc. your own preferred style
- To communicate effectively in a number of everyday situations including conflict
Course content
This first course provides an introduction to the five day leadership and management programme. This course will run over a number of weeks. But is also available as a 1 or 2 day course - please contact us for more information.
The course will cover:
- The management role and responsibilities
- Management and Leadership domains, qualities and behaviours
- Management styles and assessing your style (strengths and weaknesses of each style in work based situations)
- Organisational culture and your influence as a manager on change
