  • The coaching process
  • Tools and techniques
  • The wider issues of coaching and mentoring

Course content

On completion, you will be able to: 
  1. Understand the role of the coach as a developer of others
  2. Build relationships and commitment and establish a partnership for coaching and mentoring
  3. Identify the right situations in which to take a coaching approach and understand how that delivers successful business outcomes
  4. Demonstrate coaching skills using the latest coaching models to structure and make coaching meetings more effective.
  5. Prepare and carry out a coaching or mentoring plan for someone within your organisation
  6. Complete the coaching cycle through  evaluation of the coaching plan
  7. Evaluate outcomes and turn these into performance indicators
  8. Review the ethical issues involved in performing the role of coach or mentor
